Despite being all reds, a Pinot Noir, a Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Gamay will open its best bouquet at different temperature. Similarly, a Burgundy Grand Cru white will need to be served at a higher temperature than an everyday Chardonnay, despite being made from the same grape variety.
